Accessibility
Everyone should be able to explore our wines and plan a visit.
Our commitment
AJA Vineyards is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to people of all abilities, including those who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, and keyboard-only navigation. We believe the experience of discovering our wines and planning a visit should be open to everyone.
The standard we work toward
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and widely regarded as the benchmark for accessible websites. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological needs.
What we have done
Across the site we provide visible keyboard focus on every interactive element, a "skip to main content" shortcut, and a mobile menu that can be opened, navigated, and closed entirely with a keyboard. Text color is chosen to meet AA contrast ratios against our backgrounds, images carry descriptive alternative text, and forms use clear, associated labels. For visitors who prefer reduced motion, we honor that system setting and present a calm, static page with no animation.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is a continuing process rather than a one-time project. As we add pages and features, we review them against the same standard and correct issues as we find them. We also welcome the perspective of the people who use our site every day.
