Proprietor’s Blog 1/4: Happy 2023!
Today is the first Wine Wednesday of the new year, how exciting! As we settle into the 2023 vintage, I’m looking toward the future of AJA and what that means for me, and for all of you.
There’s a lot happening at the winery. We’re just two months from bottling our whites and rosé, and we’re working on rebranding and getting ready for AJA’s future.
2023 will be our 13th vintage as a winery. In the last 12 years we’ve learned so much about our wines, and have continued to change and grow, not just the wines and vines, but us as proprietors too.
A few fun things we’re rolling out:
- A new segment called Friday Night Wines, where we pair tasty dishes with our favorite wines to help you enjoy them even more. Starting this Friday, look for new pairing ideas to keep up your sleeve.
- How to Wine, where we answer all of your wine questions, from opening a bottle to storing it properly. If you have a question (or had one you never got to ask), reach out through our contact page and we might feature it.
- A new wine this year, available in April: our brand new Chardonnay! We’re excited to finally be able to answer “Do you have Chardonnay?” with a resounding yes. Stay tuned for tastings and more soon.
For anyone who feels strongly one way or another about Chardonnay, I urge you to try this one. It’s bright and fresh, with just the slightest kiss of oak for texture and a long finish. My dad dislikes almost every Chardonnay I put in front of him, but I know he’ll enjoy this one, because we make approachable wines enjoyed by all. I can’t wait to share it with you.
So, 2023 is going to be an exciting year, and we can’t wait to share what’s in store.
Speaking of store, have you grabbed your wines yet? It’s Wine Wednesday, time to stock up! Shop AJA wines now.
Cheers,
Amanda
