SOMM TV!
Hey everyone, we’re back again with more winery news.
It’s been a busy week. Last Monday we filmed with SOMM TV for their series “Hidden AVAs, A Closer Look,” alongside Jason B. Wise, Matthew Kaner, and Bianca Vierra.
For anyone just finding our page: yes, Malibu makes wine, and yes, that’s us doing it. When SOMM TV asked us about Malibu, we said, “Well, let us show you.”
They filmed a few segments: blind tastings, interviews about the AVA, and shots of the vineyards. We got to taste plenty of wine, share what we know, and talk about why we love Malibu as an AVA.
We toasted a great day of filming with our 2019 Rosé. Hopefully we’ll have some great footage to share with you soon.
As for right now, we’re enjoying some wine on the beach with cheese and crackers, nuts, and dried fruit: a perfect way to spend a wine Wednesday. Our 2014 Syrah is tasting spectacular right now, and we’re down to just a few cases of our 2014 Proprietary Red. Not to worry though, we’ve got some excellent Cabernet Sauvignon blends coming very soon.
Our vineyards are looking beautiful right now, just past fruit set and waiting on veraison, the point where the green berries turn purple. Follow along on our Instagram for updates as the process unfolds.
